JS’s New Claws Are Set To Click In And Stay Loose

“To put it simply, it’s just really reliable,” says Jason Stevenson.

Clicking a new set of fins into the old fin box is a wonderful thing. Right away that dog of a board you’ve been tooling around on is transformed into, dare we say, something magic. And if not magic, at least it feels more lively under foot. And to be perfectly honest, surfboard shapers design the best fins. They’ve got the rail line, curve and foil eyed out in their foam-filled minds, and engineering a set of fins that will fly is the next logical step. Enter the new FCSII JS fin, designed by Aussie whittler Jason Stevenson.

Shallow depth of field highlights the deep gouge in bloom.

A multi-functional thruster setup, the new FCSII JS fins love a board with some deep concave and a fair bit of rocker. They were made to fly down the line on open-faced waves and do exceptionally well on sculpted points and reefs. Made with FCS’s Performance Core technology, the new JS fins have that classic fibreglass twang with none of the weight. Stiff and responsive, they’re anything but the stock plastic pieces of junk that most boards come it. So go ahead and upgrade, you deserve it.
