Taj Burrow, dodging filth at Canggu, Indonesia

“This session was a real quick one,” says photographer Shane Dawson of the day in Bali you see pictured here, featuring Taj Burrow. “It’s the Canggu right – it doesn’t look like it though, ’cause the water was filthy dirty. We had a bunch of rain the night before which is unusual this time of year, so the  river would’ve been full of shit from nappies to dead dogs… heavy, but true. Taj had about three waves and had to come in – he said it was freaking him out, all the rubbish in the water. He’d just done a Mentawais trip – I didn’t go, but he said it was the best waves he’s ever had there. They got great clips so I’m sure they’ll be popping up soon.”
