Nathan Fletcher, Acid Drop in Santa Cruz, CA
Riley Blakeway has, in secret (or rather, not publicly), been shooting for a new and as-yet unnamed Analog film. If it’s anything like NOW, the Chippa Wilson non-biopic biopic that Riley shot and directed, then the new film is an exciting prospect. Especially considering that it heavily stars Nathan Fletcher. After three days of travelling from Australia to the US, Riley got off a plane in LA. When he switched his phone over from airplane mode, he had a text sitting in his inbox from Nathan. “Stay at the airport, we leave for Tahiti tonight,” it read. “I checked my bags,” says Riley. “Then caught a cab to Hollywood and back so I could load up on film stock and by the time I got back, I got word that Nate lost his passport. My bags were already checked so they had to delay the flight to get them off. We ended up hanging in Cali and getting some really fun waves. Nate always takes me to the raddest lil’ novelty waves. He stomped a couple big airs, too (as well as this huge acid drop).” Riley then adds, as an afterthought, that “Filming in California is way more my style.” Stay tuned for a title, cast and more insanity like the image above.
