Reckon organisers of the Billabong Pipe Masters were thrilled that they didn’t wait around for the next swell? The pulse that shuffled in after the event’s final day was feeble by comparison. But, that’s kinda fitting. The seriousness of the world tour climax is over. Now, it’s just fun on the North Shore. For a while. Keanu Asing, pictured here, is one of many enjoying the fun. In this case, at the ironically named Insanities (it ain’t insane). According to photog Ryan Miller, who shot this, you won’t find Keanu “double-tapping on his phone when the waves are pumping, or whining about it being to not that good. He doesn’t whine at all. The guy just gets out there and gets it done. Surfs heaps and has that drive to get after it in the comps.”
