Julian Wilson, knife work on the Sunshine Coast, QLD
How about the swell that lit up southern QLD following the Quik Pro, Gold Coast’s final day? Will all eyes were on the Superbank, Julian Wilson, a Coolum local, headed north to his hometown. “After putting in full day at the Quik Pro and processing photos all the way through dinner I jumped in the car to drive up to the Sunshine Coast with Julian arriving at midnight,” says our photographer on this occasion, Ryan Miller. “We were up early the next morning to hit the points at Noosa and it was pumping. The most gentle lips to loosen the fins on with the perfect amount of push. Jules was all smiles in the lineup to be back at home surfing amongst friends. Look how damn beautiful this landscape is! How could you not be all smiles? This place is perfect.”
