Full Frame: La Jolla Underground, Derek Dunfee

Double Duty Derek Dunfee has been on a tear as of late, sprinting between Mavs and Windansea, making the most of the forecasts, getting waves in between shooting land, water, ski, etc.

Dude doesn’t stop. 

Over the weekend, some of San Diego’s fabled reefs turned on in a beautiful way, afternoons of hollow, sheet glass slabs if you knew where to go looking. While swimming one of the lesser-known (read: named) slabs, Dunfee hooked up with local head, and El Pescador Fish Market alumni, Fano Rakigjija (which longtime friend, SD/SF shaper Griffin Stepanek assures us his real last name), for a few moments of bright and shiny brilliance.
