Filipe Toledo drifts at Lowers, CA
It’s rather fabulous that Oakley stepped in to facilitate the Qualifying event at Lowers, because everybody wants to see more of the world’s best at one of the world’s best high performance waves. The Hurley Pro obviously delivers every year, but once just isn’t enough. And so, here we are, one round into Oakley’s swing at a qualifier across the tracks. Filipe Toledo, in the first heat of the day, tapped the sizzle he showed at Snapper and put together a 16.97 combined total. While The Box didn’t deliver his finest hour this year, Mr Toledo is still undeniably the featherweight champ. Watch his (and many other) HOD here.
