A while back now, Floridian Eric Geiselman clicked a small air-revs in the shorebreak at Huntington, warming up for the US Open (which was to start the following day). He landed funny on his ankle and tore that honey straight into a grade two tear (50 percent torn). After rehabbing at Signature Physical Center in San Clemente, he got back in the water late September. It’s now mid-October and the dude’s in Hawaii.
And guess what? A coupla days into his trip, he was surfing backdoor (pictured) when he cut his foot on the reef and had to go to hospital. Months of rehab for one ankle, then slices the other foot and earns three stitches. Poor Eric. Some kids get all the luck, huh?
