Dillon Perillo, peppermint spear in Puerto Rico

During the recent Rip Curl Pro in Puerto Rico, Stab heard numerous reports that the coconut rum drinks were much better than the waves. Which is absolutely fine. But, there was so surfing, and some waves, and some photographs taken of those two things. And this is one of those photographs. “(Dillon) Perillo (pictured) has always been on it this trip,” says photog Ryan Miller, who shot this. “Dude doesn’t even have a car and still manages to get to every good wave when it’s on. I’d pick him up half the time, and the other half, he would just show up. Somehow he manages to never get stuck without dinner or drinks at night, either. The guy just cruises through Puerto Rico without a care. For the final day at the comp he didn’t have a ride from his hotel so he just ran to the beach with his boards. Then proceeded to go out and smash his first heat. That shit would have put most people into a mild panic.”
