Bruce Irons, lit without sun, Mentawai’s, Indo

Mia Irons, the wife of surfing’s last true rockstar, Bruce Irons, gave birth to a baby boy on the weekend. Koby Abberton, close friend to Bruce and the man responsible for whipping him into the trunk-removing Chopes bomb recently, posted on his Facebook page: “(sic) congratulations to my brother from another mother BRUCE IRONS and MIA IRONS on the birth of their new baby boy KOBY EAZY IRONS..beautiful name too guys, love yas forever and always.if koby grows up to be half the person you guys are he will be an amazing human xxxxxxxxxxxxxx” If he hadn’t been named Koby, Bruce’s little guy woulda been called either Thunder or Eazy. We figured we’d celebrate with an unseen shot from the flare shoot in the Mentawai’s a coupla a months back. You know the shoot – during the Red Bull Minor Threat boat trip, Stab zip-tied some marine safety flares onto Bruce’s board and the Hawaiian did what he does best and raced through some tunnels. The resulting clips have collectively scooped around one-and-a-half million views, which y’can watch below.
