Andrew ‘Droid’ Doheny, pictured here, doesn’t surf like someone who’s been trained. And in a new age of athleticism in surfing, Droid’s approach is a real point of difference. Not that Stab doesn’t dig athleticism, but there’s nothing more wondrous than variety in surfing. Droid’s currently in the Mentawais, looking untrained but awesome, with Zeke Lau, Yadin Nicol, Dusty Payne and Alex Gray, with documentation by Tom Carey. This lipslide is one of Droid’s favourite numbers, and one of Stab‘s! Kid only just arrived on the trip, so expect some more sof his sizzle in the coming days.
