Zeke Creates Frankenstein ‘Dock’ Shoot On A Home Depot Budget
“We will change the game of surfing forever bro.”
When Sam McIntosh tried to sell Volcom on The Dock the proposition was as follows: “If it doesn’t get a million views in a week, it’s free.”
24 hours after its release The Dock had 2 million views on YouTube, “and Volcom paid us [$90K]…”

Inspired by the success of The Dock, Jacob Szekely decided to recreate the concept on a budget.
Commissioning the help of tradie-charger Skip Mccullogh, they brought a truckload of PVC, ply and skate/surf traction, stuck it all together, and crossed fingers that it would float when they brought it down to Windansea.
“If it doesn’t then my career is over,” laughs Zeke.
The result is highly entertaining.
