“We have cooked surfing,” Stab’s EIC Brendan Buckley concluded on this week’s episode of The Drop, while discussing the mental health of anyone who performs on surfing’s highest stage.

“Every time we talk to someone who’s been on tour for more than three years now, it doesn’t sound like they’re a CT veteran — it sounds like they’re a Vietnam veteran,” he continued. “Back in the day, people used to party a lot…and maybe they took that a little too far at times, but at least it seemed like they were having fun.”
