Eclipsing EE’s performance in Stab in the Dark will be a challenging assignment for our next test pilot.
In six days, Ethan managed to ride 199 waves on 12 fresh, unmarked surfboards, and fill four full-length episodes and an extended grand finale, with razor sharp rail surfing.
Only two waves didn’t make the cut on the first day of filming, from a total of 28. Both were closeouts, incidentally. Still, that’s a 93% raw-to-final-cut rate.
Easy on the eyes and hard drives, essentially.
The prosaically titled ‘Surf Edit’ is purely the best of the best surfing — and a bit of a Thank You to Billabong for their support on the project.
