How crazy is this collection of boards coming out of Zarautz?
Our friends at PUKAS just hosted Fantastic Acid, who is an actual person, a man, a Frenchman, actually, named Tristan Mausse.
Mausse/Fantastic Acid makes some the most gorgeous variations of one of surfboard designs most bastard children, a design so not “high performance” it sits in a strange genre all its own, somewhere between the kneeboard and the egg: the fucking Displacement Hull.
Orignally the result of Micky Dora disciple Esteban Bojorquez and one Greg Liddle, who designed boards inspired by the kneeboarding of George Greenough…
