Why Did Zeke Get Kicked Off Stab High?
Hard truths and finger flips with the King of Waco.
Those of you privy to Jacob Szekely’s aerial prowess might wonder why we’ve never invited the energetic, polarizing La Jollan to Stab High.
Turns out, we did.
After he landed the first ever Fingerflip in a pool at Waco, Mikey C extended him an invite to join us on our Mentawai boat trip in 2020. Zeke proudly and gladly accepted.
“The COVID protocols were super strict for that trip,” Zeke recalls. “Everyone was pissed at me for not quarantining, but I was so stoked to be going on the trip that I went to my buddy Skips movie premiere the night before our flight to Indo and I partied with my friends all night. I ended up getting exposed to Covid and they had to find a replacement for me.
“I’m still super bummed that I did that, definitely a huge mistake. But all good, I’m hoping to make up for it and prove my worth in the next couple Stab Highs.”
Pretty presumptuous to think he’s getting in the “next couple Stab Highs”, but his aerial repertoire is pretty impressive. We’ll think about it.
For now, watch his duel with our favorite Mexican marsupial (and 2x former Stab High-er), Baja Koala, and revel in his unlimited bag of tricks and always inventive hand gestures.
