Surfer Reunited With Board After It Drifted 400 Miles Away
A true tale of romance.

In November of 2020, UK surfer Lee Brogan snapped his leash out at Runswick Bay. Brogan lost the board and assumed it was gone forever.
On December 28, however, a couple staying on the island of Skeld in Shetland, over 400 miles away, found the missing board. The wife posted the board on a Facebook community page and eventually traced it back to Brogan.
Transportation was arranged, and the board safely returned home.
According Teeside Live:
Lee has not taken his board back out yet and has spent time repainting and repairing it after the damage caused by the long journey.
He said he wants to work the board, which he’s had for 10 years, back to its original state before he takes it out again.
“It’s got that sentimental value as well so I’m glad to have it back,” Lee said.
A truly heart-warming story.
