19 year-old Levi Slawson spends a good amount of time surfing grindy comp waves — much more time than the average fella. Worth noting, he’s really good at it.

However, this week he was given a chance to prove himself in genuinely pumping comp waves at the Pro Juniors —held at Seaside Reef — and he did just that. Blowing through a field of seriously tapped juniors, Levi’s reliable backhand led him to a second place finish and a very proud hometown crowd.

His new edit features him surfing an even higher degree of firing waves, and it’s terrifically enjoyable. It’s a taste of the most recent Indonesian season, set to a proper tune.
