Sky Brown’s ability to launch off Waco ramps is not surprising. Have you seen the 12-year-old skate a bowl? It’s incomprehensible. So much so that it makes sense to assume her talent automatically translates between concrete and water.
Am I surprised the young Ladybird can launch a flawless backside straight air on a surfboard? No, but I’m still 100% impressed by her most recent edit from Waco. This level of performance at such a young age is unprecedented.
Honestly, if Sky Brown paddled out next to me in a lineup, I would catch the next wave in. Just belly board to the beach and save the shred of surf dignity I have left.
