Should the World Tour Cut its Numbers?

If the WSL wants to create any sort of content channel that rivals other professional sports leagues, they need to invest in the properties they’re creating.

‘Getting Heated’ is a great concept, and the execution is decent despite the difficulties posed by COVID-19. Mick and Ross carry with them an undeniable air of knowledge and experience in the surf world, and Dave Prodan does a fair job of moderating what are legitimately thought-provoking topics. I just simply can’t understand how they haven’t solved the problem of leveling out Dave’s scratchy audio. Doing so would immediately lift the level of the production half a letter grade.

This iteration finds Dave, Ronnie and Mick sitting down with 3x World Champ Tom Curren. In a rare interview, the three discuss Tom’s latest film with director Vaughn Blakey and ‘go deep’ on the topic of alternative equipment on tour. I find it quite interesting that both of Rip Curl’s thrice victorious superstars have such varied personalities.
