Shark Attacks Surfer At Northern California Beach
Jens Heller walked away unscathed after an encounter at Montara Beach.
Yesterday, Northern California filmmaking staple Powerlines Productions posted a video on Instagram showing surfer Jens Heller after an apparent shark attack at Montara Beach in Half Moon Bay.
“Well, I was sitting on the board and then I felt something under my foot kick me off,” said Jens, unscathed on the beach. “I looked back and saw this big mouth grabbing on to my board. It knocked me completely off, and I remember being in the water looking back and seeing the black eye and the teeth of the shark.
“I tried to grab my board as fast as possible and get back in. There were two other guys out who were close by, who said it was maybe a 10-foot shark. I only saw the fin and I was full of adrenaline, so…”
““It was my lucky day, I guess,” he said later.
