How to Survive a Lip to the Dome

Nate Behl doesn’t surf when he’s not in Indo.

The Florida native spends a few months at Kandui Resort every year, and when he gets home to Palm Beach County, the waves just don’t seem like…waves…anymore. So he hunts hogs, does some carpentry, and patiently awaits his next flight to candyland.

After scoring throughout the archipelago in late 2020 (how was that last Deserts wave?!), Nate didn’t touch a surfboard until he returned to Indo this June. After shaking the cobwebs off with a near-decapitation (see: 1:08) at Bank Vaults, Nate settled back into rhythm and spelunked his way through various chambers.

This raises the question: Would you give up 10 months of surfing per year for two months of guaranteed perfect waves?
