A typical “Director’s Cut” contains: “Added scenes left out of the theatrical version (aka “deleted scenes”), extended scenes or sequences, scenes deleted from the theatrical version, and altered musical score or voiceover narration.”

By this definition, “Meat Cuts Volume 001” is a little like a Director’s Cut.

Noa only gave us this cryptic description of the clip: “Surf sessions from Nozvid in their entirety.”

“Meat Cuts” is as close as we get to sitting on a Northern New South Wales beach watching Noa surf with Thurston Moore’s thrashy “Psychic Hearts” playing in our AirPods.

Some of these waves will look familiar. Some will not. My highlights are 1:53 and the ender at 3:56.

And judging by the three digit “001” in the title, I’d wager we can expect more Nozvids director’s cuts soon.
