The day before this was shot, the point had been a tease. 

The wind had turned its otherwise spiraling glassy lips into crumbling, graceless chunks that fell abruptly toward the sand carpet below.

The morning after, at first light, a crew assembled: former CTer and film star (plus recent Surf100 head judge) Yadin Nicol and his son King, Surf100 runner-up and Oaxaca fixture Sebastian Williams, Tyler Newton, Finn Murphy, and mini pool don Zacky Taylor.

Their tuberiding skills would be documented and scrutinized by Jason Crane’s lens, a man whose dedication to the craft saw him climbing a hill and flirting with heat stroke in his own interrupted Sisyphean allegory.

He stayed up there, recorded the single session, and came down with a hard drive stuffed with aspirational content to provide you with an equal mix of pleasure and self-loathing.
