Crazy Blunt Rotation: Craig Anderson, Owen Wright, Michel Bourez, Sierra Kerr, Jesse Mendes + “Smiley” Rasheed
The Four Seasons Maldives comp returns with USD$25K up for grabs.
Fancy seeing you here.
Starting as early as tomorrow (pending swell), the Four Seasons Maldives Surf Championships (FSMSC) returns to Kuda Huraa with its three-day, three-division format on singles, twins, thrusters.
Best across all three? Twenty-five grand, straight to your pocket.
Why do pros keep saying yes? Because it’s the Four Seasons. On a tropical atoll. Ringed by dreamy reefbreaks. Staff who won’t let you carry a board or screw in your own fins. It’s paradise with room service. You’d be clinically insane to decline.

We even sent How Surfers Get Paid filmmaker Todd Barnes over as a reward for services rendered. His verdict: “Room is fucked up. I feel kinda guilty.” (Same reaction I had when I was flown in as Mick Fanning’s fin courier.)
You can literally watch turtles swim through the floor while you shower.
The comp has history. Slater, Carissa, Parko, Curren, Taj, Rasta, Bruce Irons, Sunny Garcia, Machado, Dorian… they’ve all pedaled their bikes down the boardwalk here before.

This year, the field is just as likely the most diverse cast of physiological specimens: freesurf icon Craig Anderson, 3x Stab High champ Sierra Kerr, Tahitian powerhouse Michel Bourez, Olympian Owen Wright, and Maldivian wildcard Ismail “Smiley” Rasheed.
We’ll be bringing you with daily videos/editorial recapping of what went down.
