We love a good tease

America’s face of freesurfing has made it to the big screen.

A raw account of Ian’s travels through Indonesia and Europe has been masterfully pieced together in a new film by O’Neill and Nick Green called Crane Brain. Hectic at times, encapsulating at others, the loose narrative captures the essence of surf travel. Guest surfers include Caity Simmers, Cory Lopez, and Dusty Payne.

The film will release this Saturday, May 28th, on Stab Premium, then go free to the public on June 1. There’s also a live film tour that will hit both east and west coasts over the next week. Yes, Crane will be in attendance.

Tour Dates:

  • May 31st- O’Neil Surf Shop, 41st Ave Santa Cruz, CA
  • June 1st- Go Juice, New Smyrna, FL
  • June 2nd- Nomad Surf Shop, Boyton Beach, FL
  • June 4th- Bay Local Eatery, Virginia Beach, VA
  • June 5th- Heritage Surf Shop, Margate, NJ
