Add This Kid To The List Of 14-Year-Olds Who Surf Better Than You

Just a year or two ago, OBX sticker-magnet Will Deane was pint-sized. Yeah, the kid could do a proper air reverse but, in his micro-form, it was difficult to tell what he would surf like come adulthood. 

Based on his most recent video, however, it appears Will has spent the last few spins around the sun eating his Wheaties — or whatever they feed kids nowadays. He’s got a few more pounds and a bit more volume under his feet, and it’s sure done wonders for his surfing.

I’m inclined to compare some of his slashes and slides to a young Griffin Colapinto, but I’ll let you be the judge.

‘Now Boarding’ is what life looks like as a 14-year-old globetrotting surfer.

It’ll probably leave you wondering what the hell you were doing at Will’s age.
