Wondering where Ashton’s been? We’ve got answers.

For the last six months, our Editor at Large and the No Contest Crew have been Off Tour and on-location filming a new six-part documentary series exploring some of the most culturally interesting surf destinations in the world.

We won’t reveal all the locations just yet, but we can name some of the surfers we’ve teamed up with, including Balaram Stack, Stephanie Gilmore, Leo Fioravanti, Mateus Herdy, Leon Glatzer and more, as well as dozens of radical locals who comprise each international scene.

We’ll be dropping a teaser preview of the show next week, and premiering the episodes in some of the regions they were shot in the coming months. (New York City, we’re coming for you next week! Stay tuned.)

Over the weekend, Leo Fioravanti and Roby D’Amico premiered an episode of the new series shot in Italy, with Steph Gilmore, to a waterfront crowd in Milan, and a massive gathering in Rome.

Here’s a look at the night’s events, which also included a sneak look at Leo’s new full-length edit, “The Cut” (which is also a Stab Edit of the Year entry dropping this Wednesday — and yes, it’s exceptional.)

Just your average surf film premiere…on the water…in Milan.
Beanies were worn.
Leo already spent his SEOTY bitcoin on edit merch. Let’s hope he actually wins the thing.
(They know something you don’t know.)
Stuffed like gnocchi.
Every good film premiere needs a board givaway.
