Yup, Jordy Smith won the Billabong Pro, Jeffreys Bay, again. After taking down Damo Hobgood in the quarters, Ace Buchan in the semis and finally Mick Fanning, Jordan raised the Billabong Pro trophy above his head for the second time in as many years. Kid’s all grown up. The thanks he gave to his parents and new gal Lyndall were very, very sincere. The win also boosted him from fifth place to second on the world title ratings, only behind Joel Parkinson. Could this be the year, that the kid with so much expectation on his shoulders shrugs it off and steps up? If he can continue the form he was in for most of this event (and keeps riding the carrot board, decorated by Blake Kueny), then, per-goddamn-haps.
