Further Evidence That Ryan Lovelace and Dan Malloy Are Onto Something With The Rabbit’s Foot Finless

When we set to assembling the supporting caste of Acid Test steeds for Stephanie Gilmore to take to Mozambique last year, we kept coming back to the weird AF asym finless boards we’d seen Dan Malloy dreaming up with Santa Barbara-based shaper Ryan Lovelace. 

While a fairly thorough East African skunking meant we only got a little glimpse of the design’s fun factor under Steph’s feet, we could imagine how the board would move on a proper wave’s face. 

Now, you’ll recall our story from a few weeks back involving one of our favorite Internationals, French Caribbean-born, Hossegor-based Will Aliotti getting his poor fucking fingers nearly sawed off by a motorized SUP’s propeller. This AM he sent this little finless European morsel, riding the very same board as Steph and putting his own Caribbean spice on it.
