Johns Have More Fun

Today, as you’re likely aware, John John Florence clinched his second world title.

And, tonight he will lay his golden locks on his pillow. Left to reminisce about a downright freakish performance today and the season at large. And though he didn’t claim the Pipe Masters that eludes him, he’s the 2x world champ.

John literally was the MVP of the Pipe Masters, that’s undeniable. When it came to threading needles on the jagged reef he was unparalleled. If you watched the final today (which if you haven’t you should, now), you’ll notice John has the ability to add on time inside the tube. Where most of the top 34 would hit eject, John repositions, gets deeper then pumps toward the next section, squeezing out the doggy door. That’s simply local knowledge.
