Where The Hell is Delmarva?
An afternoon of spitting shorebreak barrels in… Delaware?
As is usually the case, while much of the East Coast and Caribbean felt the wrath of Hurricane Irma and Tropical Storm #10, Right Siders from Folly Beach to Fire Island have been fucking scoring, with dispatches coming in recalling ten-hour sessions of shorebreak barrels, hot and glassy conditions.
While on the hunt this week in Delaware of all places, Virginia Beach’s Michael Dunphy and his buddies happened upon a random sandbar littered with with A-frames. “After searching around town for a half hour or so, we pulled up to a random spot and it was doing this,” Delmarva’s Nick Tribuno told our friends at Eastern Surf Magazine. “Safe to say the boys from down south— Matt Meinhardt, Michael Dunphy, Mike Lawson, Sebastian Moreno, Seth Conboy, and Zach Beals — went home pretty happy.”
While the surfing won’t win any awards, the clip’s enough to make an East Coaster in exile inclined to book a ticket to, uh… Baltimore?
