John Florence and Barron Mamiya Spinning At Island Speed

When is slow motion in surf clips acceptable? 

If John John Florence and Barron Mamiya are spinning above the lip cut to Sonic Youth’s cover of the Temptations’ “Super Star”, is it acceptable? 

If the music is slow, is it good enough?  

If it keeps you transfixed on your device, does that gel? 

Or, is there never a time, ever, that slowing down surfing is a presentable form on the internet?

Well, that’s up to interpretation.
