Colin Moran Surfs Looser Than A Wizard’s Sleeve
And has the best roundhouse we’ve seen in ages.
It’s hard to look different on a surfboard these days. At this point we’ve got pretty much every angle covered, from the formed-out Kolohes, to the squat-thrust Adrianos, to whatever the hell Alex Knost and all of his fan is doing. Everybody surfs like somebody in 2017, is what I’m trying to say*.
Enter Colin Moran. The Californian uses his long, flexible limbs to swing a wild frontside nosepick, which could be described as a better version of Andrew Donheny’s only turn. And while this is certainly Colin’s bread-and-butter maneuver, he rounds out his performance with a few cool tubes, a couple decent airs, and a roundhouse cutty that made me rewind the tape more than once. I haven’t done that since like… 2002, when guys actually did good roundhouses. Those longer boards did have their upsides.

Ashton = an off-balance Trevor Gordon
Morgan = a drunken stork
