Watch: Dion Agius in ‘+/+’

The man with the striped suit and black board is back in his latest short film +/+ (you can pronounce it ‘Plus, Plus’.) A surf-porn profile edit it is not. There’s a tasteful blend of cinematic lifestyle shots, eerie narration and a dramatic soundtrack (Joy Division FYI) balancing out the high performance Dion Agius action that we know and love. Shot along an undisclosed stretch of eye-pleasing Australian coastline you’ll see full rotations cut between wilderness pans, square ledges into ambient silhouettes. The dream sequence section towards the end is a particular highlight with haunting drones and gloomy underwater shots adding extra flavour to the dark undertones of the edit. Plus/Plus’s release coincides with the launch of Dion’s latest range of threads with the Globe gang. Mr Agius, known for being quite the tastemaker, worked closely with the design team at Globe to co-create the capsule and if you squint you might even notice Dion sporting some of the wares in the film.
