#Tournotes: Kelly Slater’s 540

Never forget the day Kelly Slater landed arguably the best air ever made and Peter King was there to capture it. We’ve seen the double oop by Albee Layer, but this was the first spin of its kind in the reverse direction. As Kolohe Andino says, the man was 42 years old and it’s incredible what he’s still doing. It’s really hard to argue that Kelly Slater isn’t the greatest athlete of all time. This is the shit the kids are meant to be doing, not the oldest guy on tour, and that’s why Kelly calls out JJF. Bravo Kelly and bravo Mr King for being there to capture this.
