You Actually Can’t Deny Tomas Hermes’ Surfing

I’m just gonna say it. Tomas Hermes fucking rips. 

He’s a little fella like myself, but his technique is exemplary. There’s never a hair out of place, and his turns pop the bag like a Bruce Lee jab. He doesn’t appear small until the waves get big (or perhaps medium). 

Don’t even get started on Tomas’ footwork. This fella reads his board like a blind man with no hands. Those little beads of wax writing novels beneath his feet*. How well-read they must be after his flurry of nosepick finners. 

I don’t know what it is, but this clip really spoke to me. It made me want to go fast and never catch a rail. To draw funny things on my surfboard. To work up the courage to ask my girlfriend to film me. 

Tomas Hermes is an inspiration (but not an influencer).
