We’re not going to beat around the bush. There’s no hiding the fact that this is a plug, but we’re not averse nor embarrassed to promote a product that we ourselves use.

When you’re a frequently travelling surfer you need a quality and reliable pack to stash all of your little goodies. Fins, towels, trunks, phone, keys, and even Taj’s book of hot surfing to ensure you’re always ripping.

Whatever you want to take down onto the sand (or rocks), FCS probably has you dialled – from tropical long hauls to south coast strikes.

If you consider yourself an ‘avid surfer’, and you venture beyond the supple banks of your local beachie, then the Travel Series is what you’re chasing. You have your choice between two decent backpacks, and a nicely sized duffle bag for a complete luggage replacement.

FCS Travel Jeremy Product1B

The Mission Travel Pack – 40 litres, wet zone storage, laptop compartment, and all the usual features of a backpack.

If you’re after a complete overseas set-up, the duffle comes in at 66 and 92 litres for the medium and large. You can jam all your clothes, wetsuits, and even your towels into one of these without a fuss, along with any other necessary nic-nacs that you want. It’s a standard duffle, but it comes with backstraps too for when you need to lug around your boardbag.

If however you’re just after something to aid between the beach and back on a quick trip, the strike and mission backpacks will suffice. They have a ‘semi wet zone’ for wetty tops and trunks, a laptop compartment, small stashes on the sides for your fins and water, all topped with ergonomic cushioning to ensure your back isn’t torched after a trek.

Then for the part-timers, there’s the day series. A range which you can use to get around on a quick surf run, and easily use as your uni/work pack too.

They’re all lined with chic PU exteriors, and are typically blacked out or matte, so you won’t draw unwanted attention to yourself. Totses might be the trend, but fuck me there’s nothing less functional than a material shoulder bag when you’re going surfing.

It’s not 100% waterproof, but splashproof zips will get you by on most boat trips.

Head over to the FCS site here to check out the range and further details.

And if you’re not in the market for a new pack, then you can ignore the quality goods and just watch Jeremy Flores chip into some tubes up top.
