A Gold Coast Premiere Of Vans Stab High Presented By Monster Energy

Episode 3 did not disappoint.

To premiere Episode 3 of Vans Stab High Presented by Monster Energy, we made our way to the Gold Coast for a night of Ladybird throwtails, poster signings, and laughter.

A worthy venue. All photos: Marc Llewellyn

Surfboard Empire in Mermaid Beach, QLD played host to a scene of smiling grommets and aerial enthusiasts, all gathered to watch our surfers boost off Lakey Peak ramps. Young Henrys provided some ice cold ales, while I Like Ramen warmed our stomachs.

Letty Mortensen, Dakoda Walters, and Quincy Symonds seemed unprepared for the pointed and considered questions from our host Stace Galbraith. Stace quizzed them on the difference between hitting the first and second sections and whether they did enough to be invited back.
Taking feedback from earlier premieres around the world, we seriously reduced the median age to around 11, led by a 90s-inspired poster signing.

Dakoda and Letty quickly developed an entourage of shouting tween fans, who surrounded them and began chanting in a lovable show of devotion. “DAH-KO-DAH! DAH-KO-DAH! DAH-KO-DAH!”

Afterward, our committed crowd gathered for the premiere of Episode 3.

Evidently and predictably, Dakoda stole the show on screen as the world began to fall deeper in love with Rasta Robb.

46 minutes of captivation manifest.

Posters weren’t the only thing Letty Mortensen was signing.

For those of you located in Southern California, our final episode of Vans Stab High Presented By Monster Energy will premiere at Pour House in Oceanside on Thursday, Nov 17 at 6pm.

Keep scrolling for a digital preview of the night’s antics:

Stace Galbraith made a colorful cameo.
Wade Carmichael and friends swung by for a beer.
Dakoda Walters commemorating a piece of surfing history for this kiddos collection.
Amazement in its purest form.
Big smiles and good beer.
Dakoda Walters, Letty Mortensen, and Quincy Symonds enjoying their time in the limelight
Smiles around every corner.
“Spin to win…better than four to the shore”
