The crew at Uluwatu Surf Villas have us hocking anything we can sell to afford one.

The Uluwatu Surf Villas are widely considered one of the most desirable, heavenly, truly divine residences in all of surf.

Before the Keramas event last year, the Stab crew lucked into a few nights at the Villas, with Ian Crane, Mason Ho, The Jacks—Robinson and Freestone—Kelly Slater, and perennial mainstay Gerry Lopez, who was in town to teach yoga, pick off a few at Indicators, and, it turns out, to spend a little time in the shaping bay.

Tim from USV sent us a note this week, letting us know about a batch of boards that had just landed in the racks at Manu, the little dreamy boutique that operates out front of their world-class dining room.

“We just received a small batch of very special, exclusively made Lightning Bolt Surfboards hand-shaped and signed by the legend himself, Gerry Lopez!” Tim tells Stab.

According to Tim, each of these are “made from dead-stock Clark Foam using original templates and rockers so the boards are exact replicas of the original shapes… tinted or opaque laminations, glassed-on single fins… no leash cups. We’re extremely honored to be one of the few venues on the planet to carry Gerry’s surf craft.

Now, we haven’t had the courage to ask the pricetag on these beauties. Seems like one of those, if you have to ask the price you can’t afford it situation. But we have considered selling pretty much anything within arm’s reach on Craigslist to try and cobble together a couple of gees to cop one.

Worldwide shipping is available, and they’ve got three models to choose from:

“The Pipeline” 7’ 6” – this pintail was developed by Gerry in the early 1970s to negotiate the steep drops of Pipeline.

Uluwatu Express” 7’ 2”- this swallow tail was developed by Gerry specifically for the waves at Uluwatu.

Uluwatu Delight” 7’ 2” this rounded pintail was developed specifically for the waves of Uluwatu.
