Ryan Miller: “Everyone was out at black this morning warming up for the event. They boys all had a few good waves including Julian with this made alley oop. The waves looked good enough to me and the contest was called on. Jeremy Flores and Dan Ross paddled out for heat one and the lineup started to clear. A few minutes before the start there was plenty of commotion at the tower and the contest was put on hold. Mr. Flores was not happy, as his Twitter feed will reveal. Actually, check everyone’s Twitter, guys were losing their minds today with the comp being put on hold every hour. Even the photogs,  free surfers and team managers were losing their minds.
