A man may take to drink because he feels himself to be a failure. And then fail all the more completely because he drinks. Similar to the competitive moral of opinionated literary authors. Certainly the pixelated breed. Fail to craft a digital witticism, take to writing more. But then write more mundane qualms because of the prior decision. A vicious cycle. Since, anyone who writes an knockout internet comment is either a serial killer or a genius. There is no in between.
