The Weekend’s JuneShine Conspiracy
Scenes from JuneShine Hard Kombucha and Albee Layer’s well-lubricated party in Venice Beach.
Hard Kombucha is a thing. It’s delicious and offers a stimulating effect while drinking. First off, it makes you feel healthy – which is fun. It’s light and a little fruity, bubbly but not overly carbonated. It also packs a punch of roughly seven percent ABV.
Second off, they go down easy. Maybe a little too easy. But, being that at JuneShine’s recent party at the Rose Room it was the only available drink, no one complained much.
In San Diego JuneShine’s created quite the buzz because kombucha is hot, and kombucha that makes you feel all fuzzy inside is even hotter. It’s a drink for a warm day when the beer just isn’t cooperating with your tummy. This Stab staffer decided he was a fan on Saturday night, hence the praise above.
At the Rose Room, the venue was at capacity. Outside a consistent line wrapped its way towards the boardwalk. As the party progressed dancing ensued, along with a live band, a couple of DJs and Albee’s new film “Opinated Passion.”
Those who attended genuinely enjoyed themselves, as did we. When the party ended just after midnight, we stumbled into the streets and onto various bars or after parties in the Venice area.
