Stab Recommends: Jack English’s New Range of Tees
Threads for a good cause.
Jack English is one of surfing’s most revered lensmen.
It takes someone with a special eye to make something so documented look fresh, but Jack’s photos always come with a sense of je ne sais quoi.
Jack’s latest endeavour is part clothing label, part philanthropic expedition Sea of Seven. The threads feature Jack’s photography, and for every item they sell, they provide a homeless person with a free t-shirt. “I wanted to build a brand that would include my daughter Eden, as well as my passion for photography and the surfing lifestyle we live everyday,” Jack says. “Together we decided that with every product sold we would donate one new t-shirt to a homeless man, woman or child.”
One of Jack’s recent creations that caught our eye is his representation of legendary San Diego shaper, Xanadu. We’re all for nice photos, philanthropy and shooting product on slicked-out groms who resemble 1950s film icons. The fact that the weathered face on the tee happens to belong to one of the most influential underground shapers of his generation, well that’s just a nice tie in.
Buy a tee and contribute to a righteous cause.
