Some ‘Sliced’ style we dig (Pt III)
Care of Surfstitch, Dion Agius dropped Sliced (Pudding) a coupla weeks back, a digital short by Toby Cregan. It starred, of course, Dion himself, along with friends Craig Anderson and Creed McTaggart. Care of Surfstitch, Dion Agius dropped Sliced (Pudding) a coupla weeks back, a digital short by Toby Cregan. It starred, of course, Dion himself, along with friends Craig Anderson and Creed McTaggart. It was a very good watch, about as good as lo-fi digital shorts get, and Dion’s raw surfing housed in Toby’s raw editing felt like watching a rough diamond sparkle on the roof of a cave.
Dion’s bent is not just above the lip of a wave, but also in his dry land game, which features many feels towards finely cut threads and luxe products. Some of his, and our, current favourites lie below. Call it a guest editor’s choice, a Sliced Pudding-themed selection, or whatever else you want; All we know is these wares tick boxes.

Globe Los Angered Dion Agius Leather Hi Shoe (Black)
Think cool, not conservative when it comes to Dion’s Los Angered Leather Hi. Know what’s weird, most pros don’t typically wear their sponsor’s footwear. In Dion’s case, they’re his fifth symphony and you’ll find them on the feet of any surfer sponsored by Globe. And, these are the go-to shoe for pro surfers beyond the Globe stable. Why? They work. At the beach. At the bar. And wherever else you wanna wear em. Dressing up a standard hi cut with a leather exterior, this particular Los Angered has taken Globe well beyond the concrete parks.

SUPERbrand Dion Agius Siamese Palm Viber Surfboard
We don’t all have room for 17 boards in our quivers. Period. That’s why Dion and SUPERbrand developed this gem. A versatile and forgiving board, the Siamese Palm Viber is the best of both worlds with enough refinement to test your rail game without robbing you of the pop when a squared-up wedge presents itself. No surfer needs more than a three-board quiver. This one is a worthy inclusion to sit alongside your knifey shortboard and step-up.

Epokhe Ostra Sunglasses (Tortoise Gloss)
Eyewear is front and centre. Bad frames, bad ensem. End of story. Conversely, a gent in great frames can fix any sartorial disaster. Get your face furniture in check with Epokhe’s Ostra sunglasses with all the 1950’s American curves you need and none you don’t. “The Ostra is one of my favourite shapes in the collection and such a timeless piece… inspired by the classical safety glasses of the 50’s,” says Dion. The tortoiseshell frames make it equally fitting for trunks by the pool or dapper suit attire and its European quality will attract European attention. The gal kind.

Inertia Music: The War on Drugs – Lost in the Dream – Vinyl
Everything old is black again. With all its grooves and pops and imperfections, vinyl records is going through a resurgence and it’s bringing a whole new aesthetic to contemporary music. Hopefully you’ve listened to this album from The War on Drugs because it’s a neat mash of vague rock with decent narrative. Now go and drop that pin, watch that 12″ vinyl turn and listen to the depth of sound.

Mayde Cresent Towel Black/White
Dion is a well-travelled gent and he’s seen style in corners we haven’t. Take this for example, a Turkish Mayde towel combining both function and fashion. It beats the bulky beach towel in almost every way. Except when you want to wrap your wet suits in it. No, don’t do that.
