Slowtide Threw a Chic Party In Aid Of Their Artist Series
The Art Of Drying Off.
One thing you can’t fault Slowtide on is their ability to throw a gathering.
The great thing about making towels is that they’re literally a blank canvas. If you can’t come up with an interesting concept to cover a 30 x 60 inch blank piece of cloth then you’d likely be more suited to crunching numbers. Slowtide never seem to have a problem, and the latest, their limited edition artist series, is some of their best work to date.
For their latest batch, Slowtide have enlisted a broad range of aesthetically minded folk – photographers like Jeff Divine and Daniel Russo, professional brush wielders like Jeff Weins and Kevin Ancell, and a host of our beloved slashies like Al Knost and Evan Mock. The intimate evening at Pacific City, Huntington beach, was a soiree with a purpose, and a limited number of the towels were sold on the night, with all of the profits going to help the Surfrider Foundation with their noble work.

Al’s, Scott Richards (aka Slightly Choppy), Sean Woolsey and Ty Williams’s towels, respectively.
