Saturdays Surf NYC started minimally on a cobblestone street in SoHo and make great clothes to spill coffee on and wear to the bar and get laid in. This isn’t pressing high fashion by any means but ain’t trying to be, though it’s a cut way above your beach kickarounds. The lines are clean and every piece rolls from sand to pavement with ease. The new Holiday 2013 collection? No different. This is a collection we’d like to own and will probably be inspired to do more than just look at it through a computer screen.
The focus is on functionality (you’re welcome, but you’ll have to delve IRL for the full effect). There’s all kinds of things to keep you warm like the straight-outta-Aspen ‘Zac Jacket’, the Don Draper-esque ‘Maurice Trench’, and the Barbour-vibe ‘Samuel Jacket’. This range sees Saturdays wrap its arms around earthy tones and neutrals like olive, dark greys, mustard and navy, and there’s no complaints here.
If this is your vibe, the range is available here and at four Saturdays retail locations in New York and Japan, as well as Mr Porter, Barneys, Colette, Beams, Lane Crawford, and other select locations worldwide.
