Picking Five Pairs of Banks Trunks Is More Simplistic Than Self-Isolating

And none of them are black.

Never before have the therapeutic qualities of a surf of a swim in the ocean been more evident.

If nothing else, the current global situation is a good opportunity to strip back your existence and clarify the essential ingredients for your physical and mental wellbeing. Stabmag.com has millions of visitors from just about every country on the planet, and you know the strongest tie that binds? Surf, hmm… almost, but not everyone who frequents Stab surfs. It’s the love of being weightless, of feeling the ocean cooling the core and salt kissing the skin. There’s a hell of a lot of ocean out there and they can’t ban swimming entirely. And what are the base-level requirements for entering the drink? Trunks. Who makes really, really fine trunks? Banks. For all occasions.

For Lounging In The Sun

Time to embrace the humble suntan, bumping average looking people into the good looking bracket since forever. Washed-out mustard is a much under-appreciated shade when it comes to trunks. It’s a totally non-garish way to make a caramel tan pop, and these handsome numbers have the added bonus of being totally acceptable to wear whilst riding a log.

For Romantic Beach Strolls (provided you were a certified couple prior to December 1st, 2019)

Making a pair of trunks that don’t make you feel like a surf dork when you’re away from the beach is an art, and Rama McCabe (chief puller of the Banks aesthetic stings) is our Michelangelo. Pastel neapolitan might be a bit of a push in the surf, but pared with a white tee it cuts a striking figure during a romantic dusk stroll or whilst ducking into the cafe.

For the Piloting of Alternative Craft

Different trunks for different surfboards. You’ll feel a total nerd riding a beautiful fish in a pair of kitchen sink hi-fi trunks, ditto going vert on your sports car with the thighs showing. Banks are masters of towing the delicate line between the two, and whilst the above will work anywhere, drawing beautiful, simplistic lines on something handmade is where they’ll thrive.

For Getting Out There and Whackin’ it

Why did we ever give up on purple? It’s just the most fabulous shade (and word, if design’s your kink), the lilac tint above especially, and what better way stand out whilst simultaneously blending in at a competitive lineup.

For Hungover Sundays

When you wake up in the late morning light, sunlight hurts your eyes… all you’ve got to do is slip into a pair of these, apply shades, drink a breakfast cocktail of some description and release yourself back into the wild.

Sunny up your disposition with a fresh pair, courtesy of our comrades at Banks.
