Pants of Brixton
Trousers, slacks, breeches, pants. Whatever you call them, a well-fitting, functional, fine looking pair is curiously hard to come by. One brand that’s been on point with it’s pant releases since they deviated from the path of purely headgear is Brixton. Creating narrative behind something as static as pants, without making it about the subjects that are inflating the garments, causes one to really flex the creative prowess. And jeez, Brixton’s done it with beautiful simplicity. The Union pant short clip above is just about the perfect way to bring product to life as you’ll find. The urge to dust off the skatey and move to Brooklyn is strong, and after only 15 seconds. Bravo Brixton creative. The reserve pant is the ultimate fit for the everyday. Not too tight, but not loose enough to get caught in the spokes of your fixie or Triumph. And they’ve got that wonderful quality of being smart and casual at the same time. There’s nothing more vogue right now than a well dressed man doing something manual, something worth noting. Trousers for the practical man; for when pockets are a necessity! The fit’s what you’d call ‘relaxed’ and there’s even a hammer loop, if hammering’s part of your daily. Real pants, for men who aren’t adverse to oil and grease. It just reeks of a fifties television advert, in the best way possible, “Brixton Fleet Pants, tough pants for tough men. In stores now!” It’s quite the feat to produce a pant that looks as effortless with cons and a tee in the AM as it does with boots and a button up in the PM. But, the Grain’s are the perfect blend. They truly fall into the category of items that you’ll never regret buying, along with anything leather (wink). These pants aren’t a purchase, they’re an investment.
