When it all squeezes through our funnel, only two things matter in our superficial world: our boards and our trunks (we’re talking summer here). So, given these priorities, we thought it would be instructive and illuminating if we asked a dozen makers of surf trunks to make a one-off pair of trunks, as custom as custom can be, without the limitations of price, the market or the whims of retail buyers. Our stipulation was: make the best pair of surf trunks your abilities allow. And, make us a short film in the process. The competition ends in a few hours and we asked our favourite surf film maker, Mr Kai Neville, to tell us his three favourite clips created alongside the boardies. They are: 1.
